Well my friends the legend goes some found silver some found gold about a mile outside of New Orleans, 

He came to town riding high afraid of living not afraid to die, he found a note  a magic spell, but where it came from no body would tell

So he did what he had to do, took a trip down to Blue Bayou, about a mile outside of New Orleans

The night was dark the moon a glow when he finally found Marie Laveau 

as she spoke with a wicked grin, wipe your feet and come on in, I know what you are searching for,  to find Heaven and a whole lot more About a mile outside New Orleans

It's Christmas in Chicago all the flights have been delayed so I'm hoping to catch a ride on the back of Old Santa's sleigh  That's all I want for Christmas that's all I'll ever need It's Christmas in Chicago but my home's in Tennessee

Beyond the neon lights and the warm ambers glow she's hiding a secret that nobody knows, afraid of the past afraid to move on but knowing the difference between right and wrong

Money don't buy much in this day in time, it's almost a dollar for what once cost a dime but one things for certain God's love is still free it was paid for by Jesus on Mt Calvary

Money can't buy you inside heaven's door for it makes no difference if you're wealthy or poor  the price of God's love anyone can afford just believe in the Savior and trust in the Lord 

Beware of his coming when at last we shall see the face of Jesus who set mankind free, Our hearts will be judged for the deeds we have done when we stand before heaven and God's Holy Son

The snow is softly falling with a kiss of morning dew as I relive old memories of Christmas days with you and why you had to leave me Lord knows it just ain't right and I know that this Christmas will be a  Silent Night

I still can't believe that she's gone, it happened just last year on her way home through the snow she could not see the falling limb from an old oak tree that took the love of my life away from me
